Seven Week Class Series:
The seven week childbirth preparation class series is based on my Lamaze training using a foundation of slow relaxed breathing patterns and various relaxation techniques. Throughout the class series I incorporate many different comfort measure techniques including massage, acupressure, and touch that I have learned throughout my many years of teaching that are very helpful during labor. A large portion of class time is spent practicing relaxation and breathing techniques, positioning for comfort and progress in labor. Support people play a very important and active role, learning along side the expectant women what happens during labor and birth and how to support the expectant woman both physically and emotionally.
The classes are held in a physical therapy complex that is very comfortable with separate lavatory facilities, wheel chair access, air conditioning and very large area for labor rehearsal practice sessions.
Classes are small to insure individualized attention
